My name is Orion Dias; the Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Briros Technologies. A new Canadian startup focusing on bringing Canadian robotics and ingenuity to the global market. From 2021, an idea was envisioned of robots maintaining our critical infrastructure at heights; the ICARUS drone was invented.

I posses a broad range of engineering experience and in depth education in multiple technical fields. I have an Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology and Architectural Engineering Technician and a degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology at Mcmaster University. I have 5 years experience in the Nuclear industry where I started as a Manufacturing Engineering Specialist; making work orders and delivering various components to Canadas nuclear power stations. I progressed to a Metrology Field Technologist where I measure the position and location of parts in reactor units during installation. I absolutely love what I do and being a part of a team to keep our lights on.

My career started when I was a maintenance technician student for the summer in my home town where I worked with carpenters, plumbers and electricians. I maintained HVAC units on roofs and tested sprinkler systems. I continued to work in maintenance Two years after and observed risk assessment in different industries and how they try to make field work safer. I spoke to electricians about their experience and would highlight changing light bulbs, thousands of feet above ground, how majority of the job was climbing and travelling. I wanted to change that and make a solution where a field tech can do his/her job and not worry about how to get to site. My solution was the ICARUS drone, an ariel drone to be the technician at heights. to make ICARUS and Briros Technologies possible; I picked up many skills parallel to my education such as CNC machining, 3D printing, and business fundamentals.
